The Languedoc-Roussillon wine region is three times the size of Bordeaux and one of the largest wine growing area in the world. Traditionally the table wine region of France, there has been a massive transformation in the last 20-30 years with an increased focus on quality over quantity. Languedoc wines are primarily Red and made from a wide range of varietals including Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Cinsault, Mourvedre and Grenache.
