Never one to shy away from causing a stir, Madonna surprised diners at an up-market New York restaurant when she was spotted bringing her own bottle of wine - complete with glasses - to dinner, according to an article published by the Telegraph.

The 53-year old was dining at the Osteria Cotta restaurant with new boyfriend, Brahim Zaibat.

Apparently not a fan of  the restaurants wine list, guests at the restaurant claimed that Madonna "brought her own red wine in a bag, along with two beautiful crystal glasses."

An eyewitness, also dining at the restaurant, claimed: "They poured the wine and immediately put the bottle back in the bag, so nobody could see what it was. At the end, they took the empty wine bottle and the glasses with them."

Well known for having particular taste, Madonna only drinks blessed Kabbalah water - which usually costs around £6 per bottle.
