60 % Pinot Noir, 35 % Chardonnay, 5 % Pinot Meunier with a minimum of two years on its lees. Light, mid-gold colour, good effervescence and clarity - has a quality look to it. Fresh nose, citrus, lime, some white flower and honey which follows through into the palate. Lovely fresh mouthfeel, good weight and complexity. Clean long finish.

Producer: In Champagne terms Bernard Remy’s story is a very recent one, he bought his first vines in the village in 1968 and steadily built up a following for his wines the next major step occurred in 1983 when he was able to build his own cellars and take total control of production. In 1986 Bernard increased his vineyard holdings by a further three hectares and since then the success of his wines has enabled him to further improve and enlarge his cellars. His son, Rudy also a very good winemaker, recently took over the reins but the old man is never far away, which is understandable he has created a superb champagne house through his own hard work, ability and passion and it must be very hard to let go entirely.
