85% Sauvignon Blanc plus Semillon. A lovely wine to look at; tinges of gold and green, plenty of ripe citrus fruit on the nose, with a packed, racy palate of lemon and lime plus gentle floral notes. Great value. “Mouthwatering, squeaky, stainless-steel-aged, dry white Bordeaux with so much tingly, lemon and lime fruit on the tongue that it would be hard to find a zingier summer white. Philippe Ducourt is a great proponent of the ‘Agriculture Raisonnée’ system aimed to minimise pesticide use. His Ch. La Rose du Pin in the chalky Romagne commune produces wonderful everyday drinking in both colours.
