Trentasel Brachetto d Acqui, Borgo Isolabella 50cl

It’s not that often that a sweet red renders us speechless, but one sip of this wonderful wine was all it took. Better known in it’s sparkling form, the Brachetto grape has an irresistible combination of fresh violet petal and wild strawberry that works beautifully when turned into a dessert wine. Gently harvested and crushed, with slow gentle fermentation to capture all the amazing aromatics – a basket of fresh flowers on the nose; rose, violet, lavender… - then sweet but fresh strawberry and raspberry fruit, lavender and ‘violet creams’. Just a friendly 8%! Fantastic with fresh pastries or fruit tarts; the Isolabellas suggest young, creamy blue cheese, and even lighter pates.
