Lovely rich, balanced palate of seamless blackcurrant and morello cherry, cinnamon and clove notes, a hint of earthiness and harmonious minerality and ripe tannins.

Created for Central Park’s famous Jean-George restaurant using a majority of Merlot, with some Cabernet Franc and
Cabernet Sauvignon. Closed nose; touch of cassis, earthy, savoury,quite ‘traditional’ Cab.Sauv;, minty, a hint of coffee. Firm, dark black fruited palate - fresh blackcurrant, good earthiness, firmish tannins. A touch of mint, savourty –a very Left-Bank Bordeaux, ‘classic’ feel.

Created by Belinda Chang for another top NYC restaurant, The Modern, using a majority of Cabernet Franc, with Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot and Syrah. Touch spicier than Spoon, thanks to the Syrah. Dense on the nose; rich portiness, ripe black morello cherry. On the palate, a touch smokier, blackberry and blackcurrant, lusher. Silkier
later on; vanilla ice cream, touch of damson. All together more ‘Right Bank’. Softer finish, round tannins. Luscious and totally delicious.
